All Second Life members know of the fun GIF images of dancing frogs or other little animals offer and unfortunately some are usually of very poor quality. But, not to worry, there is a fun new way of creating animated GIFs that are super cute and fun to look at.
Before embarking on the creative process, you first need a short clip which you’ll then convert into a number of images that you are then going to load into Gimp. It goes without saying that the conversion process of your video clip into images needs a good movie editing software, but if you created the video clip yourself, then you most likely have a good editing software.
However, if you are getting the clip from another source, the most important thing is to ensure that you are not in violation of any copyright rules. That said, the most commonly used videos are from YouTube and you can use websites such as Imgflip, Giglike and Giffer to change them up into your animated Gifs.
If you are looking to create artsy animations you should use Whorled, which is a reliable freeware. This software was initially designed to create sacred animated geometry but it works perfectly. It also gives you the option to save your creations as avi files or save the individual frames as bitmaps.
Remember, creating an animated Gif is not just a matter of having a dancing frog on your window, it is a beautiful form of art that should be created with precision. This is a place where you can let your mind wander wherever it wants to go.
Art is beautiful and needs time to come to fruition. Don’t be in a hurry to come up with hundreds of animated Gifs at a go. Take your time to think through what you want to create, make a creative video clip or better still, identify a YouTube video that speaks to your soul and use it to come up with an a high quality animated Gif that will motivate you to create more and more Gifs.
